Industry-Leading Geophysics Platform Supports Energy Industry Sustainability Efforts
HOUSTON, TEXAS (October 26, 2023) – Ikon Science, a leading global provider of geoprediction and open subsurface knowledge management software and services, announced today its donation of RokDoc software to North Dakota-based Energy & Environment Research Center (EERC), one of the world’s leading research organizations advancing the development of cleaner, more efficient energy. The $1.6 million donation supports EERC’s environmental sustainability and energy efficiency efforts.
EERC will use RokDoc’s rock physics, multi-well attributes, forward modelling, seismic integration and inversion capabilities to increase understanding of specific subsurface areas. The donation also supports Ikon Science’s collaboration with the Plains CO2 Reduction Consortium (PCOR), a partnership dedicated to reducing carbon dioxide emissions within the energy sector. This alliance will facilitate knowledge exchange in this emerging area, fostering innovation and sustainable practices within the energy industry.
