Rosalena is a geophysicist specialised in velocity model building, seismic data processing and rock physics. She studied in Italy and holds a BSc in Geology from University of Bari and MSc in Exploration and Applied Geophysics from University of Pisa, 2017. Following from her MSc, she took on research at University of Pisa, focusing on Rock Physics Models for granular media.
She started her career in the Oil&Gas industry with internship in Eni, combining geomechanical laboratory work and rock physics modelling. Willing to gain more experience in imaging, she moved to UK and started working in CGG as Imaging Geophysicist for four years. There, she specialised in velocity model building and seismic processing in challenging areas of North Sea and Caspian Sea, while strengthening her client communication and presenting skills. She joined Ikon Science as Support Geoscientist.
