Inversion for Drillers

In this presentation, we discuss the interrelation of elastic (inversion) and mechanical (drilling) properties as well as the importance of using seismic data to support predicted mechanical properties. We will review the theory of how well bore behavior is reviewed and applied to a number of case studies in key unconventional basins in the US and Canada. We will discuss the integrated workflow developed and implemented in RokDoc software utilized by the Ikon Science services teams. Overall, we highlight how geophysicists play an important role generating value for drilling and engineering operations.
