Ikon Science Launches The Next Version of RokDoc Incorporating Powerful Automation and Enhanced Machine Learning

HOUSTON, TEXAS —June 6, 2022 – Ikon Science, a global provider of knowledge management solutions designed to optimize subsurface discovery, today announced the release of RokDoc Version 2022.3., an industry-leading geoprediction software.

As global energy demand continues to grow and drilling activities increase to meet this challenge, subsurface teams in E&P companies are challenged to deliver key reservoir insights faster and more efficiently. To meet this challenge, the latest version of RokDoc introduces significant growth in automation and scale of key QC and knowledge generation workflows to meet that demand.

Delivering accurate well-ties promptly is a challenging task for geoscientists, but one which is vital to ensure precise targeting of wells. In mature basins, the task is further complicated by the increased number of well-ties that must be generated. In RokDoc 2022.3, Ikon Science has expanded the capabilities of the Multi-Well Wavelet Estimation toolkit to include automated QC view generation and capture of well tie statistics. This tool now delivers industry-leading accuracy and time savings in the well-ties process, one of the fundamental geoscientific workflows that are crucial for efficient field operations and state of the art reservoir characterization interpretations.

Further enhancements have been made around the DeepQI Neural Network functions – providing for increased performance and flexibility when performing innovative ML based workflows.

“Today we launch version 2022.3 of RokDoc, which focuses on refined functionality and time savings for streamlined workflows.” said Alan Mur, product manager for QI applications, Ikon Science. “New automated QCs, 3D petrophysical volume prediction enhancements and pressure workflows that consider clay diagenesis are making our powerful integrated workflows easier than ever.”

Other notable enhancements include:

  • Improved speed and performance of Rock Physics Reverse modelling operations
  • User experience enhancements including: mouseover calculation of fluid and mineral mixes, saveable properties for Wavelet Estimation, RPML, and Multi-Stereonet sessions, and updated interfaces across 2D & 3D sessions.
