Enhanced economic recovery with the release of RokDoc 6.5.2

RokDoc 6.5.2 sees significant usability and performance enhancements across the software suite along with enrichment of the reservoir characterization and ML enabled Python interface as Ikon Science continue to focus on delivering accessible yet cutting edge science within a collaborative and fully cross-disciplinary platform.

  • Scikit-learn* and Google Tensorflow** for Machine Learning applications are now incorporated into the RokDoc-Python interface enabling users to leverage the RokDoc platform’s rich data types to identify and extract meaningful relationships across large, multi-disciplinary, multi-scale datasets and to visualise outputs across the full spectrum of RokDoc and Python viewers
  • Batch workflows and processes combine with multi-data selectors to significantly reduce button clicks, making workflows more efficient than ever
  • New algorithms are now available in the Reservoir Characterisation inversion suite delivering enhanced stability during AVO and inversion studies
  • Cross-disciplinary workflows combine outputs from geomechanical and image log interpretation with geophysical fracture and anisotropy analysis and seismic modelling workflows.

In line with Ikon Science’s software philosophy over the last 3 years, the core focus has continued to be on usability and user experience, with a strong emphasis on reducing button clicking, streamlining workflows, enhancing stability and improving performance. At the same time, through strong links and collaboration with industry partners and clients, Ikon Science has ensured RokDoc continues to deliver new and relevant integrated subsurface science and workflows for the industry’s continuing focus on improving economic recovery, delineating and maximising bookable in-field reserves, improved prospect maturation and risk reduction in mature and frontier basins as well as ensuring the safe, cost and resource efficient drilling, monitoring, plugging, abandonment and decommissioning of wells in both onshore and offshore environments.

Kester Waters, Global Portfolio Manager – Reservoir, commented ‘2018 is set to be an exciting year for Ikon Science. We have now put in place a number of the fundamental building blocks to transform Ikon’s RokDoc platform into the leading cross disciplinary quantitative subsurface system.  At the same time, a number of new products  under development, are seeing early adoption and are scheduled for commercial release later this year.  These new products aim to address several prevalent industry challenges relating to information and knowledge management, big data mining and machine learning and enhancing economic recovery through 4D reservoir modelling (sim-to-seis) and surveillance and data analytics’.

Ikon Science will be showcasing all the latest enhancements to RokDoc along with launching new software applications at EAGE 2018 in Copenhagen.
