Surbiton, London – September 22, 2025 – Ikon Science announces Curate 2025.4, an update designed to make project management, 2D seismic storage, and document handling faster, clearer, and more connected.
In Curate 2025.4, administrators gain greater control over how data moves within their organization. A new setting in System Defaults allows download options to be disabled for curves, documents, matrices, and exports, with additional fine-grained controls for image exports. This helps keep projects secure and consistent without slowing collaboration.
Session management is also simpler. Project Owners and Session Owners can now delete sessions directly from the Projects page or the Sessions tab without opening them, saving time and effort during project cleanup.
Document organization has been streamlined as well. The Well Documents and Seismic Documents tabs are now combined into a single, unified view. Users can browse through a structured hierarchy, with documents grouped by wells, datasets, or surveys, or switch to a flat alphabetical listing. This flexibility makes it easier to find the right information quickly, regardless of project size.
The AI Chat assistant has become more project-aware. Users can limit responses to documents contained within their active project, keeping answers focused and relevant. Queries tied to wells are now highlighted directly on the map, giving immediate spatial context to results.
Seismic support has also been expanded. The Admin Tool introduces two major improvements: the ability to load and distinguish 2D seismic volumes, and corrected SEG-Y scanning aligned with industry standards. These enhancements provide greater flexibility in handling seismic data while eliminating inconsistencies that previously caused confusion.
Curate 2025.4 isn’t about adding more complexity. It’s about removing steps, aligning tools, and giving subsurface professionals a platform that works the way they do, fast, clear, and connected.
