Out-of-Hours Software Support

If you wish to contact Support beyond the hours advertised for your region, you are best advised to email your query to support@ikonscience.com as this can be handled by the next region, who should be able to provide you with a timely response.

As guidance, email correspondence is often best accompanied by a relevant screen grab, or where appropriate a PowerPoint describing the nature of the issue. This can expedite the time it takes us to respond.

RokDoc 6.4.0 & all components of the RokDoc family of software are now available. This is a major increment release for RokDoc.

RokDoc Interconnector plug-in for Petrel*:
This release includes an installer for Petrel* 2016.x, as well as Petrel* 2015.x.  Users of the ChronoSeis Link; please be aware that this is a separate installer. Note that a RokDoc-WellTie Interconnector is now also available

RokDoc 'how to' Videos

The theory and process of well-ties with a step-by-step slide show and demo. See the RokDoc Petrel* Interconnector export data from Petrel into RokDoc to perform a well-tie and then send a Time Depth conversion back into Petrel*.

See the processes available in RokDoc to perform Gassmann fluid substitution and learn how to do it.

What could you be seeing in your seismic? If you are new to RokDoc, then this 'Introduction to RokDoc Well Viewer' will be an excellent starting point for you. The video delivers all the basics on how the RokDoc well viewer works and how it can be used to plan and execute a fruitful interpretation strategy. If you are starting from nowhere and have a bunch of data but no ideas, you can use the RokDoc well viewer to get started and analyze what you have available to work with. Alternatively if you have some ideas of what you are looking for, the RokDoc well viewer will help you build models to see what drives your seismic response. Enjoy the video and good luck! If you have any questions at all our support team are on hand to assist support@ikonscience.com

This module allows a user with a RokDoc license to move data from Petrel into a RokDoc project, and return results to Petrel. The Interconnector covers all the data needed for RokDoc 1D, 2D and 3D functionality.

This demonstration explains why we do 2D Forward Modelling and how you can easily do it yourself!

Available in RokDoc 3D, coloured inversion is a simple yet robust technique for the estimation of impedance from seismic data. The inversion is well suited to areas with poor or no well control and can be used to derive layer based impedance volumes for improved seismic stratigraphic interpretation. This short video provides an introduction to the main features of the tool in RokDoc 3D, along with guidance, hints and tips to assist the user in its application.

In this first video we work through setting up a RokDoc project with pressure specific settings and show how to load pressure data, kicks and leak off tests.

A focus on RokDoc PressureView. The video shows how to display drilling and pressure data, derive gradients though pressure date and identify hydrocarbon-fluid contacts.

Generate an overburden from a modeled density trend and one or more wells density data. Learn how to handle more than one density trend per well.

Learn how to derive normal compaction trends from Vp and estimate shale pressure.

Learn about adding image log data to your rock physics toolkit, to supplement understanding of stratigraphy, stresses, and rock behaviour.
