RokDoc Seismic Data Conditioning & Simultaneous Inversion - 3 Days Course

April 09 - 11, 2024

Course Outline:

3 Day Course: Attendees learn to operate the software by applying it to practical examples; this is supplemented by presentations of the underlying principles and by discussion of the results obtained, with emphasis on QC methods.

The emphasis is on deterministic simultaneous inversion of multiple angle stacks to give acoustic and shear impedance, but coloured inversion of AVO intercept – gradient combinations is also included.

The course is intended for new and intermediate users of RokDoc Seismic Data Conditioning and Inversion, and will cover these topics:

  • Overview of Inversion
  • Why invert data?
  • Inversion algorithms
  • Limitations and assumptions
  • Pre-inversion seismic data conditioning
  • Workflow overview including parameter testing
  • QC of inversion results
