A New Way of Working
by Ikon Science Product Manager - QI Applications, Alan Mur

Wider teams of geoscientists don't actually need full-featured software packages. In fact, the very nature of these overly-elaborate 'solutions' can end up slowing down workflows. The end result can be software that doesn't get used, take up space, and add costs.

In this presentation, Alan Mur demonstrates a new way of working where only specific, intuitive, collaborative, user-friendly apps (supported by curated data and input from specialists) give you all the insight you need to make the best decisions possible.

Facies Classification Using Depth Trends from Simultaneous and Facies-Based Inversions: A Montney Case
by Ikon Science Technical Sales Manager - Americas, Andrew Snowling

Andrew Snowling presents the results from two different types of seismic inversions (simultaneous and facies-based) of a Bayesian facies classification, the Montney formation. In this presentation, you'll see just how the elastic parameters differed based on the implemented seismic inversion and resulted in distinct facies distributions.

Empowering End-Users
by Ikon Science VP of Data Solutions, Chris Hanton

The energy industry is investing heavily in wide-ranging digital transformation projects but too many of these initiatives fail to lead to demonstrable efficiency improvements. Still, Ikon Science has revolutionized the utilization of our clients' vast data and technical resources to make efficiency step changes throughout an organization.

In this presentation, Chris Hanton will use real-life case studies to show how Ikon Science works with clients to build solutions that streamline data utilization from top to bottom of a subsurface department.

Re-Using Existing Wells for CO2 Storage
by Ikon Science Customer Care Team Manager, Gabi D'Aubeterre

Instead of plugging and abandoning, re-purposing near end-of-life wells and fields for CO2 storage can help companies achieve their Net Zero target commitments - as well as providing significant cost savings.

In this presentation, Gabi D'aubeterre as she discusses Ikon Science's work with BGS for REX-CO2, an R&D initiative funded through the Accelerating CCS Technologies (ACT) program. Specifically, this presentation outlines the program and the demonstrable benefits of re-using existing near end-of-life wells in the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) for CO2 storage operations.

An Integrated Approach to Reservoir Characterization
by Ikon Science Geoscientist - QI, Venki Arantharamu and
Vice President of Services, Jeremy Gallop

In this presentation, Venki will demonstrate the benefits and challenges for petrophysics, rock physics, and seismic inversion to provide input to geopressure and geomechanical analysis in unconventional plays with application across different asset teams. In addition, Venki will show how interdisciplinary products can be used to solve problems at multiple points in the development process, from drilling through production.

TOC removal methodologies for pore-pressure prediction in the organic-rich formations
by Ikon Science Geoscientist - QI, Venkatesh Anantharamu

In this paper, we have shown methodologies to remove the effect of TOC from compressional velocity data. The resultant TOC/kerogen-free VP can be used to optimize pore-pressure estimation in unconventional shales.
