Kester Waters is a geoscientist with over 10 years’ experience in geology, geophysics and petrophysics.
Since joining Ikon Science in 2004, he has been involved in over 200 interpretation projects spanning many of the world’s oil and gas producing sedimentary basins. During this period, he has been actively involved in both operational and non-operational aspects of exploration and development drilling, determining workflows and techniques for the integration of geological and geophysical data and developing predictive models for drilling risk reduction. Since 2010 he has managed an international team of geoscientists working on a variety of rock physics, inversion and AVO focused projects across the Europe, Africa and Middle Eastern regions and has been a driving force behind the on-going development of Ikon Science’s RokDoc® software platform.
In 2013, Kester became product owner of Ikon Science’s 3D reservoir characterisation software, responsible for its on-going and future development. Kester has an MSci. in Geology from Liverpool University UK and a Masters in Petroleum Geology from The University of Aberdeen UK.
