Monday – September 16th – Houston – Since acquiring Perigon Solutions and their leading product iPoint in December 2018, Ikon Science is working on a continuous vision to transform the iPoint solution from a wellbore data management and aggregation tool to a must-have data solution for the full subsurface.

iPoint 2019.3, released today at the SEG convention in San Antonio, will feature new support and handling of absolute time-based data like; production data, drilling data, and many more key pieces commonly measured against time.

One of the most significant development highlights of iPoint 2019.3 is further development of a newly-added decline curve analysis tool for predicting future subsurface behaviours based on historical data. While the addition of this functionality initially resulted from Ikon Science’s close collaboration with Seequent, this tool provides significant uplift to users in the oil and gas community as well. As part of the ongoing partnership, Seequent will soon be announcing the release of an iPoint-Leapfrog connector, establishing integration between iPoint and Seequent’s 3D geological modelling software, Leapfrog.

Further improvements to iPoint 2019.3 include significant advancements of the user-interface for improved usability along with ongoing upgrades to the back-end architecture that promotes ever-increasing flexibility, scalability, and custom configuration for bulk data handling.
