North Sea Central Graben Salinity Database

This database comprises the most extensive set of salinity data for Central North Sea ever published.

This data will prove invaluable for:

• calculation of water resistivity (Rw) for hydrocarbon saturation analysis
• aiding the understanding of vertical and lateral fluid flow
• understanding the role of overpressure in generating conduits to migration by fracturing

The database of 358 wells provides not only a high quality set of salinities and water gradients, but also the input data used in their derivation. The raw data has been filtered in stages and corrected for subsurface pressure and temperature.

The completed study, produced in collaboration with IHS Energy, is now available to buy through GeoPressure Technology.
