Ikon Science Limited, the global geoscience technology company, has commenced Roknowledge CNS, a regional integrated geopressure and rock physics study with the objective of unlocking hidden exploration and development potential in the UK Central North Sea (CNS).

Ikon Science Canada has been awarded by Nalcor Energy Oil and Gas Inc. a major project that will identify the regional pore pressure distribution in the offshore shelf and deepwater regions of Newfoundland and Labrador. The project extends from the northern tip of Labrador to the Flemish Pass Basin, an area similar in size and scale to the US Gulf of Mexico.

The data set includes 30 wells and will utilize Ikon’s industry leading experience with global deep water regions analogous to offshore Newfoundland and Labrador.  This study, which will be available to the global oil and gas industry upon completion, is one of several ongoing Nalcor geoscience initiatives to advancethe exploration and future development of Newfoundland and Labrador’s frontier petroleum basins.
