April 2001 - Ikon Science is formed. Ikon was de-merged from Troy-Ikoda an independent geoscience and engineering consultancy. Tullow Oil becomes one of the founding shareholders.

December 2001 - Enterprise take equity stake in Ikon Science. Later acquired by Shell and transferred to Shell Technology Ventures.

Spring 2002 - First commercial sales of RokDoc V2.0

Spring 2003 - Ikon Quantitative Interpretation team established.

April 2004 - FaultX 1.3 released.

May 2004 - RokDoc 4.0 is released in new cross platform java architecture.

May 2004 - Global licence agreement for the RokDoc software signed with Shell International Exploration and Production BV.

January 2005 - Ikon Science Houston established.

January 2005 - Ikon Science signs Oilexco retainer agreement.

September 2005 - Ikon acquires Earthmodels Ltd.

January 2006 - Move to new Houston office as Americas operation expands.

February 2006 - Ikon moves to new corporate headquarters' in Teddington S.W. London.

June 2006 - Ikon Science and BG announce initiative to link RokDoc and Petrel

July 2006 - Ikon Kuala Lumpur office opened.

July 2006 - Ikon acquires GeoPressure Technology Ltd.

February 2007 - Ikon acquires Anitec assets.

June 2008 - Ikon acquires GeoPatterns Technology

Current - Ikon Science has grown rapidly both in terms of revenues and staff and now employs over 80 people with offices in London, Durham, Edinburgh, Houston,  Boulder, Perth and Kuala Lumpur.
