Our focus over the last 10yrs has been to become the best Quantitative Interpretation team globally.  We have developed numerous tools to streamline workflows and provide great quality control and more meaningful results.

We have discovered over 300mmbbls of STOIP oil in the last 3 years.  

On a recent project, 11 out of 13 wells were confirmed discoveries. On 6 rounds (20-25th); more than 20 blocks were awarded (85% record) and 10 wells were drilled with 8 discoveries. Highest DTI ranked presentations for 23rd round. 25th round; 6 blocks awarded (100% record) with 4 wells underway.

The Ikon Service team are specialists in subsurface workflows. Our science is based on the premise that well data are the most accurate measure of subsurface elastic properties but they are spatially limited. Seismic can be a less reliable measure of subsurface elastic properties, but spatially well sampled. By bringing the two together with good science, much more information from the subsurface data can be revealed.

Rock physics is the link between a rock's elastic and bulk properties and conditions. Using a rock physics transform enables forward modelling and also helps to determine bulk reservoir and conditions from seismic data.

Using the well data, we can determine the optimum attributes that discriminate between bulk properties and conditions. By extracting those attributes from the seismic, we can estimate those properties and conditions away from the wells. In collaboration with the client, we operate a staged workflow that enables us to pause and assess progress.
